LOVE OF CRAFT BEER & FOOD
The conception of Mind Over Mash Brewing Company began nine years ago when Head Brewer, Robert “Bobby” Klene began brewing his own beer at home. His new hobby quickly became an obsession. He went from following recipes from
Great Fermentations and brewing on the cheapest equipment possible to carefully crafting and refining his own recipes and doing so on his ever-expanding brewing equipment inventory. He has spent the last few years fine tuning his best recipes expecting to one-day start Mind Over Mash Brewing Company.
While working on all of his recipes he has become ingrained in the local home brewing community as part of the Circle City Zymurgy homebrew club. This has allowed him to see other home brewers start up their own breweries and create a network of mentors that are willing to help other home brewers make the leap to professional brewing.
Michael, on the other hand took a different path, and while he loves craft beer his passion is food. Michael inherited his love of cooking while growing up and learning from his mother when he was barely tall enough to see over the stove. Michael worked at various jobs as a food preparation specialist and line cook while in high school and working his way through college. To this day, Michael continues to regularly cook, always refining and yearning to perfect his recipes. Michael loves supporting local businesses and uses as many fresh, locally sourced ingredients as are available. Mind over Mash plans to continue this trend when they open.
Over the past few years Bobby and Michael have come together with a love of craft beer and food and they want to share this love with their local community.
